Dear friend,
It's been too long again. I've missed you, but at least I have a few things to show for my absence. My first map is finished, I made some new bicycles and a kitchen print is nearly complete. It's been a bit crazy over here with some big changes on the way.
In September, I will be moving to Seattle. As much as I have never had strong feelings for our northern neighbor, I have been getting to know it better and this is changing. Whoever coined that expression "familiarity breeds contempt" is crazy as far I am concerned. I've had the opposite experience in life and as I get to know Seattle and a small number of its residents, I like it better and better. I will probably miss Portland more than I can currently imagine but I am excited for change and new neighborhoods.
In the meantime, I am overwhelmed by all the details to which I must attend. Moving is so complicated. As much as I want to savor every moment of my last summer (which due to cold rainy weather still feels more like winter) I am anxious to get a few hurdles out of the way and be done with it.
I hope you are well.
I just moved to Seattle a month ago and I love it. Maybe we should be friends since we share a mutual love of typewriters and bikes.
