I've been working on a new plant series of drawings and a phonetic alphabet series with my little sister's help- she's a kindergarten teacher. So far there is a bat and a page of beetles. The bat is winning for me but I need to see what Angela thinks.
And I am almost falling over with excitement over some maps I've been working on. They are educational and going to take a very long time. I suspect they will look incredible in kitchens. I am really going to talk to a screen printer soon about doing the oceans in a saturated color and then the little stuff will be pressed. I have to draw about 100 things for it and I'm doing research. It's really fun.
On an unrelated note-
I have a question: what 5 spices can you not live without?
at present mine are:
1. cayenne - I sneak it in everything even biscotti and blame it for my good digestion.
2. chili flakes - also great in so many foods and great for sauteing vegetables.
3. cumin - good in beans, nice toasty flavor and a little spicy.
4. fennel seeds - sometimes I toast them and eat them, however I hate caraway seeds.
5. bay leaves - just because.
