What no picture?

dear friend,

My suspicion that writing on this thing is like writing one's name alone with a sparkler was completely negated today. The words of two friends and the addition of comments has me convinced that I ought to make some announcements and double check spelling and grammar.

At any rate, before you step away to look at someone else's pretty pictures, I have an announcement. The phonetic alphabet of plants, animals and the mystery of the letter x, will be on the walls at Ristretto on Friday, January 8th. Mark your calendars, the opening is at 7pm, complete with wine, pistachios; and ladies, maybe even a cameo appearance by my little brother, who is not very little at all at 6'1'', but pretty silly on a good day and really good at livening up about any event. Not to imply that boredom will be possible on such an auspicious evening. I am getting super excited or perhaps super ready to be done drawing and then subsequently printing the remaining letters and thinking (and talking) about it all the time.

Oh and n is for narwhal, thank you Molly and Mara. I haven't figured out how to reply to comments yet, but that's what 2010 is for.

The s is acting up. Seeds are boring and my salamanders have been very unappealing, I'm contemplating succulents but that's a bit of a weird one to explain to the kids. What would you do? There are still the letters x, u, z and a walrus. Suggestions...

  2. Seahorse sounds pretty great. Thanks. It's now in the top three: salamander, seahorse and salmon...
