housesitting

First off, I finished a print run of kelly green bicycles, 8 by 10 inches and perfect for framing. Unfortunately, taking a good picture of the little tiny crisp lettering often eludes me.

I am housesitting. It feels like being on vacation somewhere really pretty and a little fraught with peril in the sense that I don't know where anything is.
The dining room table (pictured) is wonderful for drawing and looking out the window. The garden is unspeakably lovely. Last night I took a bath and read essays from It Must Have Been Something I Ate by my new most favorite food writer, Jeffrey Steingarten. He is or was, the Vogue food editor and travels all over eating very well.  He's funny and when I least expect it he sneaks in snide little comments about vegetables and picky eaters. Plus he defends my dear friends, salt and fat. I love him.
